Measure What Matters Workshops

Regeneration has been appointed as a delivery partner for the Social Enterprise Network (SEN) as part of the Wirral and Liverpool Transforming Local Infrastructure projects. Our contract is to provide support to local third sector organisations to help them understand their social impact and in particular the key tools and approaches they can use to measure and evidence this for future tenders and funding applications. The support also accords with the commencement of the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012.

Measure What Mattters

open quotation I am absolutely delighted to be working in partnership with Pulse Regeneration as part of the Transforming Local Infrastructure agenda. We have delivered in partnership the first social impact raising awareness workshop, which was well attended and well received with every attendee scoring the workshop as 5 out of 5. This exceeded our expectations and I look forward to continuing our partnership.close quotation

Key Actions

The approach includes the delivery of three awareness raising workshops; ‘Measure What Matters – An Introduction to Social Impact’, which introduces attendees to the concept of social impact, providing them with a greater understanding of what social impact is and why it is important to be aware of it, as well as an introduction to a range of tools that can be used to measure social impact including for example the Rickter Scale, Outcomes Star, Social Accounting and Audit, and Social Return on Investment (SROI). The initial workshops will then be followed by the delivery of a comprehensive programme of SROI Masterclasses focusing on action-learning that will enable attendees to understand the principles of SROI and progress the fundamentals of an SROI calculation for their own organisation.
