The Green Cafe
Pulse Regeneration has been supporting Bolton at Home with feasibility study, business planning, and follow on governance and financial advice for the development of a new social enterprise café. The café will serve Bolton at Home staff in planned new offices, as well as attracting customers from the local community. Working with a shadow board made up of a unique group of partners Pulse has helped develop the concept for a sustainable, ethical, vibrant and successful business that will enable the delivery of a wide range of social outcomes and high quality catering offer. When developed the facility will be unique to Bolton, serving fresh local produce at affordable prices. The facility will offer training, employment and volunteer opportunities to Bolton at Home tenants and local people who want to develop new skills.
Gwen Crawford, Director of Regeneration at Bolton at Home said:
“Pulse won a tender to help us develop a social enterprise, and scored perfect marks for the quality of their submission and presentation, against a strong field of competitors. We have found them to be thoroughly professional, competent, knowledgeable and relevant at all times, whilst remaining down to earth and good fun to work with! They have taken the time to understand our organisation and our needs and they have developed a solution tailored to our local situation. I enjoy working with Pulse and want to continue to work with them in the future. I would recommend them highly to other organisations that are in the business of community regeneration.”
