The new £70 million Communitybuilders fund is now open for applications. The long awaited fund is now open for applications from voluntary and community based organisations, or community anchors, that want to develop assets to provide services and activities for their local community and assist with their own financial sustainability. Organisations must be based in England, locally controlled, multi purpose or planning to be multi purpose, have services that are open to all, have a track record of delivery, have been operating for more than a year and not be trading for private profit. There are three levels of support available for different stages to develop projects including Feasibility, Development and Investment, which include grants and loans, with a maximum investment of £2 million. We are currently helping organisations to develop applications for the fund for a variety of projects.
